Cielo is an Italian restaurant in Birmingham’s bustling Brindley Place. It’s a very lively part of town with many restaurants vying for the business of passing shoppers and office workers.
Cielo’s goal was to create a point of difference in order to increase demand.
Therefore Loca Shading Designs proposed:
- A hanging roof system, delivering modern al fresco dining in the long narrow outdoor space.
- Firstly the retractable roof is entirely adaptable and can be tailored to specific weather conditions at the touch of a button. Closed for complete protection or fully open when customers prefer to be outdoors.
- Secondly, the addition of glass screens provides further weather protection as well as some privacy from passing pedestrians.
- Last but not least, wall mounted quartz heaters provide the ultimate finishing touch ensuring warmth year-round.
- The eye-catching structure is perfectly colour matched with Cielo’s branding.
