Outside Awnings – The Kings Head & Bell Pub, Abingdon
This traditional British pub is a listed building within a conservation area. An increasing focus on dining meant that additional seating and a more contemporary look were required.
Loca Shading Designs worked closely with the owner’s planners to obtain approval for the proposed design:
- The structure extends seamlessly from the main building and is both functional and aesthetically pleasing.
- A full-length retractable roof system gives complete flexibility at the touch of a button.
- Closed for a welcoming atmosphere on cold or wet days, open for the full al fresco experience in summer.
- Following the work, the pub reopened on time with increased capacity and a striking new eating and drinking area.
